Wellll…. Jackson has become super upscale (average homes in 2025 went for $2 to 6 million. So be prepared for a lot of spanking new cowboy and cowgirl outfits just seeing the light of day. That said, it is beautiful territory, if not overrun with money and tourists.

Get your wild game in a hunting lodge atmosphere. Roam around the full mount game trophies (native animals and exotic), old photos, and historic artifacts. Really, really good game!

Get on a peaceful and fun fly fishing float trip. All you need is quick drying clothes, sunglasses (polarized preferred, of course), sunscreen, and extra layers of clothing, depending on the weather. Their great guide will do the rest and provide a little local color.

Check it out for music, art, and general creativity. The website tells you more about the Breckenridge Troll (he is big, literally), Riverwalk Center (I saw Squirrel Nut Zippers), and Breckenridge International Festival of Arts (BIFA).

A concert venue built by Mother Nature herself with two 300-foot sandstone pillars forming an amphitheater that’s said to be acoustically pure. No shortage of great shows. So plan it in your trip.

Don’t miss this place for wild game and sheer old Colorado ambiance. It is housed in a historic building named after the old Briar Rose Mine on Peak 10. The Saloon is casual and the dining room is a bit more formal… at least as formal as it gets in Breckenridge!

Radicato is like if an Italian trattoria and a Rocky Mountain lodge had a lovechild. Glowy happy hour!

It was okay. A bit pricy, nice seating outside by the river, and a bakery. But I did like the croissants at Mom’s Baking Company best.

Employee-owned and is part ski factory, part neighborhood watering hole, and may have live music.
It was the after-party spot for Breck Epic, the mountain bike race, which was fun to volunteer for.

The building dates to the mining days and the tavern’s interior doesn’t just look historic—it feels historic with knotty wood walls, nooks, and just the right amount of good brews and food.

If you wander into Breckenridge Tap House and walk out still thirsty—or worse, crabby—I’d say you’ve set the bar impossibly high.

So many venues, I tried them all and you shoud too! I loved I Scream Gelato because I am that type of fan.

Best croissants in town, and I tried them all! They are gone pretty early. Close to the yoga studio but stop before yoga!

Crazy fun drinks (like Snickers) and good food and pastries.

You’ve hit the pastry jackpot: Clint’s Bakery is downright yummy, but when it comes to croissants, Mom’s Baking Company steals the show—hands down.

Check it out for live music, which may be free! I saw Jason Mraz there and saw him at a coffee shop in Oceanside (Jitters) the next summer. We remembered the rain and the double rainbow. These are the memories you travel for.

Victor ID… a gem!
Never heard of Victor ID? Don’t tell anyone. It is a friendly little town in the Teaton Valley for fishing, cycling, and more. More to do.

Book your fly fishing float trip through WorldCast Anglers. They worked their tails off getting us to the best spots and they are all around good guys.

We stayed in town. There was live music in the square on occasion and a short drive to Driggs.

Rent a bike or ebike and head on up to the ski resort. Lovely ride. The ski resorts at Grand Targhee or Alta are good stop points!
